  What is CURE?

CURE is a national organization seeking to reduce crime through reform of the criminal justice system.

Who may join? CURE members include prisoners, their families and loved ones, and other concerned members of the community.

What are the goals of CURE? To ensure that prisons are used only for those who absolutely must be incarcerated and that they are used only for rehabilitation and education.

CURE today has an organized presence in most states through state chapters, issue chapters, and affiliate organizations. CURE affiliates include the ACLU Prison Project, the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and Amnesty International.

Missouri CURE is a state chapter which began in 1990.
